I have just found a great internet site for smell education and research:  www.senseofsmell.org.   This web-site has a listing of current articles, listed by subject matter, such as “Odor Perception and the Brain” or “Sensory Testing:  Perception of Molecules and Mixtures”.

They also publish specifically written white papers such as “ I Know What I Like:  Understanding Odor Preferences”.   In their education sections, they suggest subject matters for teachers to use as well as books for kids.  This site is excellent for getting up to speed about a variety of “smelly” subjects!
