Professor Terry Acree will be honored with a symposium (organized by Charles Brine) celebrating his decades of flavor chemistry research. In the late 60s, he co-developed the AHB theory of sweet taste. In the 70s-90s, gas chromatography olfactometery (GCO) and Charm Analysis came to the forefront. More recently, he has concentrated on flavor perception research.
Please join us from August 30-31st in Boston during the
American Chemical Society Annual meeting.
Terry will give an award address, "Flavor chemistry and the perception of flavor". I will follow with "Internet as a research tool for flavor chemisty, FlavorNet and beyond". Check out the entire
program.
Those of us who had the good fortune to work closely with Terry Acree know that he was not only a mentor to us but also to the whole field of flavor chemistry.
